There is a rectangle on my map interrupting the Chile-Argentina border, a 50km stretch where the exact boundary between the two is undefined. On GoogleMaps, the line demarcating the border just disappears in this section.
It is home of Mount Fitz Roy in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Its summits, like shark teeth, are famous for being among the most technically challenging mountains on Earth for mountaineers. And though the border has been disputed, it’s resolution doesn’t seem to be a priority from either country.
It’s fitting, that something this beautiful should be shared.
