Last night’s camp was one of my favorites. We were able to sleep past 8am in the shade of the trees of our peaceful retreat in the woods.
We enjoy the morning with coffee and breakfast of jam and honey on crackers. It’s a relief to not have to worry about the winds picking up or the sun becoming oppressively hot. There is no reason to rush in the morning. It’s easy again.
We’re rolling through the exquisitely beautiful Nahuel Huapi National Park on the Camino de las Siete Lagos. It is the oldest national park in Argentina, established in 1934. This scenery is stunning!

Tonight we have an equally awesome camp spot along another river. There is a sandy beach to put the tent. The water pools in one section and is crystal clear. We go for a dip to rinse off and it’s take-your-breath-away cold, but it feels good nevertheless.
We fall asleep to the sounds of the river.
