As we headed down the Baja peninsula, we decided to skip Cabo. It is a huge gringo tourist town at the tip of Baja and did not sound appealing at all. Instead we decided to head to the mainland, via ferry, from La Paz.
La Paz was the largest city we encountered since we left the northern state of Baja California — big enough for a Home Depot, Walmart, Sam’s Club and several car dealerships. It was a bit disconcerting after being in the desert.
After a delicious breakfast of huevos rancheros and quesadillas we opted for a good old artery blocking dinner.
A special thanks to Glenda and her son, for kindly hosting us in La Paz.
