A few weeks back we met Cril in Veyo at Veyo Pies. She is moving to the area from Salt Lake City metroplex.
After a few minutes of chatting, she invited us to stay with her if we were ever in the area. Almost two weeks to the date, we rolled into her driveway.
We were treated to some scrumptious chili while talking to Cril’s son Blake, who recently graduated from high school. In less than a month, he will be leaving for his mission to Argentina, outside of Buenos Aires. There’s a strong possibility we’ll meet again in the next year as we roll south.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyable. Cril showed off her Can-Am Spyder and I was impressed with the amount of on-bike storage that was built in. Who knows? Maybe at some point in the future Wander Wheels will become motorized.
I spied a familiar sight on one wall. It was a great picture of a tree growing out of the rocks in Snow Canyon, which we had biked through shortly before meeting in Veyo.
Cril’s daughters and son-in-law popped in and we recounted our story of selling everything and taking off to explore the world. At the same time we learned about the various experiences they had on their missions.
It was another random encounter that led to an unforgettable experience.
The next morning we were fueled up with some great home-made protein smoothies. Cril even sewed up Sarah’s flags we found the previous day.
Thanks again Cril, we hope our paths cross again.
